New Hip Hop Artist Alert:
Tobe Nwigwe.
Nigerian American from Houston Texas.
Doesn't curse, but is 947 levels deeper than the Fresh Prince. His wife "Fat" frequently accompanies him with her own yet familiar flow, almost effortlessly complimentary to Tobe himself. His videos are incredibly color schemed, usually monochromatic with perfect pops here and there, and the energy is unmatched. It's what we need right now.
There are EPs/mixtapes (I'm old so what), with the first notable one being called 'Originals', and now he's up to 'CincOriginals' (get it?!) I'd recommend just venturing Spotify for a 'This Is Tobe Nwigwe' playlist - you'd get a better starting point which will lead you to dive deeper into how to catalog. His most notable tracks feature the likes of rap legends like Black Thought, Royce da 5'9, Bun B, Paul Wall (trust me, that joint FIRE) Big K.R.I.T, Cyhi, and others. Most recently, Tobe was approached by Erykah Badu for an exclusive project between them, which you could catch on the YouTubes. In short, if you love real hip hop, you're going to love Tobe Nwigwe. He's (arguably) what Jay Electronica was Supposed to be as far as star quality. Crazy Visions and Flows that inspire and invoke scrunch face reactions.
Songs you've probably heard and/or should start with, and also should definitely check the videos for -
