2019’s Electronic Entertainment Expo starts this weekend and we wanted to provide you a quick preview of some things to expect from this year’s show.
- No Playstation! After last year’s E3, Sony announced that they will be skipping the Expo this year. They have teased that they will be divulging information a different way, but no word yet on what that might look like.
- Another group that is not officially attending E3 this year is EA. Instead, they will be hosting EA Play, which is essentially a series of live streams on Saturday and Sunday. The announced streams include Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends, Battlefield V, FIFA 20, Madden 20 and The Sims 4.
- XBox will take the stage Sunday, with rumors that they will be revealing some details about their next gen console, along with upcoming XBox exclusives.
- Sunday will also showcase Bethesda, likely with some Elder Scrolls details. Possibly regarding Elder Scrolls VI release, or Elder Scrolls Online updates.
- Monday afternoon will start off with Ubisoft who has been rumored to be unveiling a new Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, and Assassin’s Creed, although nothing has been confirmed. The next Assassin’s Creed has been rumored to be a Viking inspired adventure.
- Monday evening, Square Enix will be taking Sony’s traditional slot with what could be the showcase of the expo. It has already been announced that they will be revealing Marvel’s Avengers, and from the sounds of it, this game will steal the show.
- Tuesday, like always, will feature Nintendo’s showcase, which should give us a look at what to expect to see on the Switch in the second half of this year.
Be sure to check back with us for a recap on each day’s events!
