DCeased brings the Zombie Apocalypse to the DC Universe
DCeased is a stellar combination of 28 days later meets Injustice! There's a Apokolips-borne techno-organic virus that makes its way to Earth and quickly begins transforming people into rage-filled zombies (think the rage virus from 28 days later). After being uploaded onto the internet, the virus is able to insert itself into the minds of anyone who witnesses it (similar to watching Keeping Up with The Kardashians).
In Dawn of the Dead fashion (the Zach Snyder remake, not the original) the virus immediately starts devastating the population of the world and forces the Justice Leaguers to do what they can to survive. Their focus is on saving loved ones first, but playing the hero isn’t exactly an option when nearly everyone on the planet has turned into a monster. The six-part horror DC event series is from writer Tom Taylor (Injustice) and artists Trevor Harisine (Legends of the Dark Knight) and Stefano Gaudiano (The Walking Dead). So far, the covers look absolutely amazing! A few of them are great variant crossovers from some of our favorite horror movies like It and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Be on the lookout for our podcast review of the series once it wraps up.
